چکیده
We have performed a search for radiative b-hadron decays using events produced in pp̄ collisions at √ s = 1.8 TeV and collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. The decays we considered were B 0 d → K ∗0 (→ K−π+)γ, B 0 s → φ(→ K+K−)γ, Λb → Λ(→ pπ)γ, and their charge conjugates. Two independent methods to identify photons from such decays were employed. In the first method, the photon was detected in the electromagnetic calorimeter. In the second method, the photon was identified by an electron-positron pair produced through the external photon conversion before the tracking detector volume. By combining the two methods we obtain upper limits on the branching fractions for the B 0 d, B 0 s, and Λ 0 b radiative decays, which, at the 95% confidence level, are found to be B(B0d → K ∗0 γ) < 1.4 × 10−4, B(B0s → φγ) < 1.6× 10−4, and B(Λb → Λγ) < 1.9 × 10−3. Measurement of differential and integrated fiducial cross sections for Higgs boson production in the four-lepton decay channel in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 and 8 TeV
Integrated fiducial cross sections for the production of four leptons via the H → 4` decays (` = e, μ) are measured in pp collisions at √ s = 7 and 8 TeV. Measurements are performed with data corresponding to integrated luminosities of 5.1 fb−1 at 7 TeV, and 19.7 fb−1 at 8 TeV, collected with the CMS experiment at the LHC. Differential cross sections are measured using the 8 TeV data, and are d...

We present a feasibility study of observing HH → bb̄γγ at the future hadron colliders with √ s =14, 33, and 100 TeV. The measured cross section then can be used to constrain the Higgs self-coupling directly in the standard model. Any deviation could be a sign of new physics. The signal and background events are estimated using Delphes 3.0.10 fast Monte Carlo simulation based on the ATLAS detecto...

We study the processes γ e → γ e and γγ → γγ, in the context of the proposal for Weak Scale Quantum Gravity (WSQG) with large extra dimensions. With an ultraviolet cutoff M S ∼ 1 TeV for the effective gravity theory, the cross sections obtained for these processes at the Next Linear Collider (NLC), with the eγ an γγ options, deviate from the predictions of the Standard Model significantly. Our ...
